Thomas More Society is defending pro-life advocate Lauren Handy against the Biden Department of Justice.
In October 2020, Lauren Handy and a host of other pro-life advocates participated in a rescue and protest at the abortion facility of notorious late-term abortionist Cesare Santangelo.
In March 2022, years after the rescue and protest at Santangelo’s facility, Lauren and several others were charged by the Biden Department of Justice with a “Conspiracy Against Rights” and with violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE).
Lauren and her co-defendants were put on trial in Washington, D.C. and found guilty of all charges.
They were branded "violent criminals" and immediately jailed. Lauren and her co-defendants still have not been sentenced, but face up to 11 years in federal prison—for standing up for life.

We are now working on a federal appeal to secure Lauren and her co-defendants' freedom and challenging the constitutionality of the FACE Act.
